Learning today, Leading tomorrow!
Breakfast/Lunch: Breakfast and lunch will be eaten in the classroom. Hands will be washed before and after every meal. Please encourage your child to take their time when they wash their hands. Hands should be scrubbed with soap for about 20 seconds before they are rinsed. You can sing a short tune with your child (such as Happy Birthday) to remind them on how long they should scrub for.
Google Classroom: All students are required to sign up for Google Classroom. In the event that the school goes virtual this year, Class Dojo and Google Classroom will be primary tools for communication and assignments. Students will practice with Google Classroom early in the year.
Masks: Students are required to wear a mask or a face shield. Masks are to be plain (no writing on them or designs) and if they are wearing a mask it must be a school color (white, blue, or grey).
Parents who are visiting the building for arrival, dismissal, or other reasons must wear a face covering.Teachers and staff at Holy Trinity will be wearing masks as well for the safety of your children.
Please write the name of your child somewhere on your child's mask or face shield. This way, if something gets lost we can try to return it to you. This has always been the policy for all uniform items, especially Holy Trinity sweaters, hoodies, and cardigans.
Social Distancing: Students will be encouraged to socially distance themselves. Teachers will help students to learn social distancing concepts. Students will work with their own materials when possible and classrooms will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the school day. Desks will be kept six feet apart from each other.
There will still be many opportunities for students to collaborate with each other every day, it might just look a little different than before.
Virtual Learning: Students that use the virtual option must connect over Zoom every day to be counted for attendance. Students are required to wear their school uniforms over Zoom. Your child should work in a quiet area free of distractions such as pets or siblings. There will be times through out the day where they may get a break such as lunch, recess, or otherwise. Please make sure to have your child stay logged in for when class resumes. Students should have all of their required materials before they log on.
Water Bottles: It is recommended that your child bring a bottle of water to school with them each day. Water fountains will not be in use this school year.
