Why did you choose St. Patrick Catholic School?
We are Catholic and we knew we wanted our children to go to Catholic school even though my husband and I did not because we wanted our children to be brought up knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that they are a child of God.  Although we teach these values at home, we wanted to make sure these values are reinforced at school.  We toured St Patrick with Principal Smith and we just knew it was a place for our family.

Why do you continue to send your children to St. Patrick?
There are high expectations at St. Patrick and we love that!  The worst thing you can do to someone is have low expectations of them.  The teachers and administration are encouraging and strict, they let our children know that God has a bigger dream for them than they could ever dream for themselves.  They show them the importance of a growth mindset, hard work and doing everything with excellence.

What surprises you about the environment at St. Patrick ?
One of the most amazing and surprising things about St. Patrick Catholic School is to go to Mass on any Friday or Holy Day of Obligation where the children will be attending.  To see the beauty of all of our children observing Mass and how well behaved our little cherubs are will bring tears of joy to your eyes.  It's amazing and beautiful and my husband and I would say life changing.  If you ever have the opportunity to attend, I highly recommend it!

Second, we are surprised how close we are to all of the faculty, staff, and the other families.  We did go to a different Catholic School in York County for 1 year and the community was not close like it is at St. Patrick Catholic School.  We are Blessed to be here.

Third, but not least, is how safe our school is compared to public schools.  In the morning, there is one way into the school and it is guarded by teachers and student safety guards.  All other times of the day, there is one way in and it is always locked with a security camera to allow for the office staff to check identity and buzz someone in.   Also, the communication between York City Police Department and the school is excellent.

What do you value most about Catholic Education?
GOD!

Also, it's amazing how exceptional a Catholic education is even without taxpayer funding that other schools receive.  Imaging what could be with school choice is exciting.
