Professional Biography:
I taught 9th and 11th grade English at Central York High School. I then went on to teach all subjects at York County High School (now York Adams Academy). While there, I earned my Master’s in School Counseling for grades K through 12. After taking a few years off to raise my sons, I worked at North Hills Elementary in Central School District as a Title ! and Learning Support Assistant to gain more experience at the Elementary level. Finally, I stared working as an Act 89 School Counselor for the Lincoln Intermediate Unit in 2016, and have been working at HTCS since that time as well.
Personal Biography:
I was born and raised in York, PA. I will be married to my husband 20 years this fall, and we have two sons, Nathan and Matthew. Nathan is a sophomore at Penn State University, and Matthew is a Junior at Central. This means that I am now a huge Penn State fan. We have a rescue pup named Barnabus who keeps us busy! I am hoping that one day he can join me at school as a Therapy Dog. I love to cook, travel, go to amusement parks and the beach, and spend time outdoors with my family. And finally, I am a huge New Jersey Devils hockey fan! I am looking forward to another great year at HTCS!
