Professional biography:
I began teaching many years ago because of the excitement and joy of working with children. Even after all these years, each day brings something new and adventurous.
I feel that each child has a desire to learn and do well, the challenge is to find what is the best way to help that child reach their full potential. Not all children learn at the same speed or in the same way. We, as teachers, must find what works for each child and how they can be most successful.
Service to the community:
Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion at St. Patrick Catholic Church - York
Personal biography:
I was born in Omaha, Nebraska (this is why I am a lifelong Husker fan), but have also lived in Texas, Virginia, and Colorado. I have lived in York, PA since 1986. My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 28 years. We have three children (ages 27, 25, and 23) who all attended St. Patrick School from PK through sixth grade. My oldest son lives in the Boston, MA area, one son lives in York and my daughter is in grad school at the University of Nebraska.
What excites you about teaching at HTCS this year?:
I am excited to see what this year will bring and what new things are happening at Holy Trinity Catholic School. As soon as you walk into the building you can feel the excitement and energy that this year is bringing. I think we have an awesome faculty, staff and students!
