What an honor it is to prepare, encourage, and develop creative skills in students by helping them problem solve, release, and inform aspects of their lives through Art. Above all, at HTCS, I have the privilege of showing students their creativity and creative skills are God-given gifts we can use to glorify Him.

Education: Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. I hold a BFA in Painting and Drawing, and a Minor in General Business Studies.

Personal Biography: My name is Joanna Trainor, but I often go by Joey. I was born and raised in York County. I am an active Artist and Art Instructor in York County with a love for York City’s businesses, people, and culture. Art is a huge connecting factor. It isn’t unusual to find me at a local coffee shop plein air painting in public on a weekend or sharing my artwork with the public on a First Friday during the warmer months.
