Education: Pennsylvania State University, Universidad de Salamanca, (Salamanca, Spain) Dual Major, Mass Communications & Spanish.
Prior experience: In college I worked for the 1990 census as a translator. Upon graduating from college , I held several positions as a translator. I worked for the Department of Public Welfare (which is now referred to as Department of Human Services ) and Susquehanna Pfaltzgraff Co .
I started an after school Spanish club at Saint Joseph school in Dallastown in 2009, (where my daughter attended elementary school) a few years later I was made a staff member to teach grades 3- 6. I have worked at St John The Baptist Catholic school in New Freedom since the school opened.
Personal: I am originally from Auburn, New York. My family moved to Red Lion when I was in elementary school. My husband, Brian and I have been married for 27 years. We live in New Freedom. We have two children. Our son, Tyler is 23 years old and lives in a residential house in a quiet neighborhood near Philadelphia. Despite having autism, he is a very social and happy guy. Our daughter, Kaitlan graduated from York Catholic this year and is a Sophmore at Kutztown University. We are recent empty-nesters!
In my free time I enjoy traveling to New York (to visit my family) and Bermuda, working out , walking on the rail trail and participating in a prayer group/ EADM cenacle. My husband and I have been involved in the Lord’s Lunch , an ecumenical soup kitchen in New Freedom for seven years and the Saint Vincent Depaul society at St John The Baptist Catholic Church in New Freedom.
I am a graduate of York Catholic High School. I believe students who have had a Catholic education are well polished and prepared for further education should they choose. Catholic educators work hard to prepare students with good study habits ,self-control and a deep moral foundation .
It is an honor to teach at a Catholic school and I look forward to see what each and every student will become with God’s Will!
