Holy Trinity’s Focus Statements
In conjunction with the Strategic Vision for Catholic Schools by the Diocese of Harrisburg, Holy Trinity Catholic School endeavors to implement these five focus statements for the betterment of all our students, families, teachers, staff, leadership, and supporters.
Discipleship: Our Catholic faith forms hearts and minds
We aim to build disciples of Jesus Christ in everything that we do. Together as a school, we pray, attend Mass, receive the sacraments, performs acts of charity, and put our faith into action. We learn about God in the classroom and we deepen our faith with the help of our three parish pastors. Our commitment to building disciples of Jesus Christ is the reason our school exists.
Innovation: God calls us to do extraordinary things
When we live our lives according to God’s will, we are living out a journey toward greatness. Each one of us is called to do extraordinary things in our lives. Our students have opportunities to excel in electives like Art, the STREAM lab, athletics, Choir, and Band or in extracurricular activities like computer coding, chess, or literature.
Collaboration: Our diversity is an incredible strength
The diversity in our student body is incredible! We have families from around the world and more than half of our students speak a language other than English at home. Our students reside in nine different school districts in York County. New cultural perspectives from our students in the classroom adds a special richness to our Catholic faith.
Support: Downtown York provides us opportunities
We are proud to continue the tradition of Catholic education that has taken place in this location (formerly as St. Patrick School) since 1851. We are centrally located in the city of York and in York County. Our location enables us to walk to many field trip locations and build relationships with our local community, including the York City Police Department, the Women’s Resource Center, the Appell Center, the Byrnes Health Education Center, York History Center, Keystone Kidspace, and Our Daily Bread Kitchen.
Engagement: Learning today to lead tomorrow
We teach our students to be resilient and to challenge themselves. We want them to persevere through difficulties in their faith, on homework assignments, and with their relationships. Our service project opportunities throughout the school year are a small part of this engagement, and we build faith-filled leaders that are life-long learners from their formation at Holy Trinity.
